Yongin City Accepting Applications for "Business Environment Improvement Project" Until September 19
Up to 80% Support for Improvements in
Work Environment, Labor Conditions, and Fire Safety Facilities
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will be accepting applications for the "2026 Business Environment Improvement Project" from local small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and knowledge industry centers from August 26 to September 19.
Support will be provided in five areas: infrastructure, labor environment, knowledge industry centers, work environment, and fire safety facilities. Up to 80% of the improvement costs will be covered.
In the "infrastructure" category, support will be provided for road expansion and paving, maintenance of water and sewage systems, small bridges, and stormwater drains in areas densely populated by small and medium-sized enterprises. Applications can be submitted jointly by three or more companies.
In the "labor environment" category, support will be provided for the installation and renovation of dormitories, break rooms, cafeterias, and restrooms. The maximum grant is 40 million won. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with an average annual sales of 20 billion won or less over the past three years.
For knowledge industry centers that have been completed for more than seven years, up to 60 million won will be provided for the renovation of public facilities such as parking lots and restrooms, as well as for the renovation of outdated mechanical rooms.
Support will also be provided for improvements to workspaces, installation of racks, workbenches, ventilation and dust collection systems, and LED lighting. Eligible applicants are manufacturing companies with an average annual sales of 10 billion won or less over the past three years, with a support limit of 20 million won.
In the fire safety facilities category, both small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and knowledge industry centers are eligible. Up to 70 million won can be provided for the installation and renovation of fire safety facilities such as alarm systems, wireless fire detectors, and automatic fire detection systems.

Companies wishing to apply should prepare the required documents, including the application form, and submit them in person or by mail to the Business Support Division at Yongin City Hall. The city plans to select the recipients by February next year through document screening and on-site inspections. For more details, refer to the "City News" section on the Yongin City Hall website.
