Supporting Export Consultations for Seongnam Companies On-Site
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Shin Sangjin) announced on the 26th that a delegation from Shenyang, China (led by Vice Mayor Zhao Wei, consisting of five members in total) visited the region to strengthen friendly cooperation between the sister cities.

View original imageOn the same day at 5 p.m., Mayor Shin Sangjin of Seongnam received Vice Mayor Zhao Wei of Shenyang, China, and the four other members of the delegation in the first conference room on the fourth floor of City Hall.
During the meeting, Mayor Shin and the Shenyang delegation discussed the upcoming Korea Week event, which will be held from September 25 to 28 at the Shenyang New World Expo in Liaoning Province, China.
The Korea Week in Shenyang is an economic and cultural exchange event between Korea and China, held in conjunction with an investment expo. Eleven companies based in Seongnam will participate in local export consultation sessions during the event.
Mayor Shin Sangjin of Seongnam has been officially invited to attend the opening ceremony of Korea Week and plans to visit the booths of Seongnam companies participating in export consultations to show his support.
Mayor Shin stated, "We will strengthen economic cooperation with Shenyang to expand the export supply chains of Seongnam companies," adding, "I hope that through exchanges in advanced industries such as drones, information technology, and bio-healthcare, as well as through multifaceted cultural exchanges in areas like youth, culture, and education between the two cities, we can achieve mutual development and prosperity."

Since establishing a sister city relationship with Seongnam in 1998, the two cities have continued to exchange in various fields, including visits to the Korea Week in Shenyang, participation of Shenyang youth in the 4th International Youth Conference in Seongnam, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Shenyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
