This is a royal court culture complex experience event held every year in the first and second halves since 2019. Various programs are offered in the Sojubang area, including tastings of royal cuisine, traditional performances, and games. However, the event will not be held on September 22 and 23.
The royal cuisine tasting program is divided into 'Dadam (Tea Talk) - Tasting Empathy,' where participants can enjoy royal desserts in Saengmulbang, and 'Sikdoleak (Gastronomy) - Tasting Empathy,' where participants can taste royal dishes in Oe Sojubang. Each participant can only choose one program.
During the event, workshops for making dried pollack bok and chestnut yolk balls will be set up in Nae Sojubang. In the 'Kitchen Alley' of Haengnangchae, there will also be spaces to sample traditional snacks such as mandugwa, dried persimmon rolls, and pogyegye.
An official from the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center stated, "We will also create spaces for traditional games and relaxation, so visitors can leisurely enjoy Gyeongbokgung Palace on autumn nights."
As in the first half of the year, participants will be selected by lottery. A total of 1,088 people, 136 per day, will have the opportunity to purchase tickets. Applications can be submitted through Ticket Link from the 27th until September 2.
