Daejeon to Host 12th Bomunsan Forest Open Concert Blending Nature and Art

A summer night concert blending nature and art will take place in Daejeon, the city of excitement, at the beautiful Bomunsan Mountain.
The city of Daejeon will host the '12th Bomunsan Forest Open Concert' for two days on August 29 and 30 at the Bomunsan Forest outdoor performance venue.
The Bomunsan Forest Open Concert is held annually so that citizens can enjoy a variety of performances, including orchestra, Korean traditional music, dance, and popular music, in the midst of nature. This year as well, a high-quality lineup has been prepared to offer citizens a special and romantic summer night.
On August 29 at 7:30 p.m., the traditional percussion group 'GOOD' will kick off the event with a powerful performance featuring Samdo Seol Janggu, Korean traditional music songs, and Samdo Samulnori. This will be followed by the Daejeon Art Philharmonic Orchestra performing familiar classical and musical theater pieces, with violinist Baek Jooyoung joining as a guest performer to present Sarasate's "Gypsy Airs" and Massenet's "Meditation from Tha?s."
Additionally, Enoch, who rose to fame as a "Mute Trot King" after appearing on MBN's "Burning Trotman," will take the stage to perform various songs including the signature number from "Man of La Mancha," further elevating the atmosphere.
On August 30 at 6:30 p.m., the event will begin with a dynamic stage featuring a Latin dance performance by the National Latin Dance Sports Team and the traditional Korean dance "Bupo Dance" by the Chummaru Dance Company.
Next, the Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Orchestra will perform familiar pieces such as a Beatles medley, engaging with the audience, followed by musical diva Hong Jimin and "Miss Trot 2" winner Yang Jieun, who will present a special stage combining Korean traditional and popular music.
A Daejeon city official stated, "The Bomunsan Forest Open Concert is one of Daejeon's representative music festivals where nature and art come together. We hope families will enjoy this artistic feast in the forest."
