Fire at Food Factory in Gwangju Pyeongdong Industrial Complex Extinguished in About 30 Minutes
At around 9:45 a.m. on August 24, a fire broke out at a food factory in Pyeongdong Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.
The fire department mobilized 20 pieces of equipment and 66 firefighters, bringing the blaze under complete control in about 30 minutes. The fire reportedly started in waste oil stored outside the building and then spread to the second floor.
