Residents cited a variety of water play facilities, clean water quality, a pleasant environment, and convenient transportation access as key advantages.
According to Garden Five Life’s own survey, sales in July increased by 6% compared to the same month last year. Songpa-gu expects the positive sales trend to continue through August, as the water playground operation continues.
The impact was also evident in visitor statistics. According to the Korea Tourism Data Lab, the neighborhoods in Songpa-gu with the highest visitor growth rates in July were Wirye-dong (33.8%), Munjeong 1-dong (29.2%), and Jangji-dong (26.6%). Three out of the top five neighborhoods are located near the water playground, indicating that the facility has contributed to the actual revitalization of local commercial districts.
This year’s water playground featured 11 different water play facilities, free life jacket rentals, shade installations, weekend event programs, and the constant presence of safety personnel, creating a safe and enjoyable space for families.
