View original imageGwangju Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town (hereinafter referred to as Hyoryeong Town) announced on August 22 that it had successfully completed the lifelong learning hub campus project specialized for the elderly, which was carried out in cooperation with the Gwangju Human Resources Lifelong Education Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Agency).
This project was designed to enable seniors to participate in lifelong learning within their local communities. At the completion ceremony held on August 21, more than 30 seniors received certificates for completing the instructor training course.
Since signing a business agreement with the Promotion Agency in March, Hyoryeong Town has been designated as the "Second Lifelong Learning Hub Campus for Seniors" and has operated customized educational programs for the elderly, including traditional games instructor and hand acupuncture instructor courses.
Jung Kyungnam, Head of Hyoryeong Town, stated, "With this agreement, seniors can now enjoy more accessible learning opportunities, which greatly contributes to revitalizing lifelong learning in the region. I hope today's completion ceremony marks a new starting point for learning."

Meanwhile, starting next month, Hyoryeong Town plans to continue operating a variety of educational and cultural programs to enhance the quality of life for seniors by recruiting students for the 2025 third-term program, which consists of 59 types and 92 classes.
