This exploration operation will take the form of a "BioBlitz," in which participants search for and catalog various species inhabiting Moaksan, including plants, insects, amphibians and reptiles, mammals, birds, fungi (mushrooms), and bryophytes (mosses).
Experts in each field will accompany the exploration, providing explanations and education to participants, while citizens will have the opportunity to directly experience biodiversity in nature.
The city expects that this program will promote biodiversity conservation and the sustainable use of biological resources, while also providing an opportunity for citizens to voluntarily participate in ecological preservation.
At the same time, it aims to create a platform for collaboration between citizens and experts by offering experts opportunities to share biological information and participate in educational activities.
Anyone in fourth grade or above can participate in this exploration operation, with a total of 70 participants to be recruited. Citizens who wish to join can apply through the Jeonbuk Sustainable Development Council.
