This agreement was established to jointly implement traditional culture experience and educational programs for multicultural families and students.
Both organizations agreed to collaborate on culture and arts education based on gugak, operate integrated arts healing programs for mind and body, and conduct convergence projects such as performances and exhibitions.
In addition, they plan to host a variety of events, including joint seminars, forums, and workshops, and to cooperate in the exchange and capacity building of professionals.
To ensure the effective implementation of the agreement, a working-level consultative body will be formed. Detailed matters will be specified in separate agreements or memorandums of understanding, with the aim of enhancing cultural welfare for multicultural families, promoting healthy leisure activities, and strengthening community integration.
Hwansoo Lee, President of the Daejeon branch of the Korean Gugak Association, stated, "I am pleased to provide multicultural families and students with opportunities to experience gugak and pungmul, helping them understand and integrate each other's cultures. We will do our best to ensure that traditional culture continues to thrive in a multicultural society through various convergence programs in the future."
