Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on August 21 that it will offer a 50% reduction on water and sewage fees for September to citizens affected by the record-breaking heavy rainfall in July.
This measure is being implemented as part of the designation of special disaster areas, aiming to ease the financial burden on affected citizens and support their swift return to daily life.
The reduction applies to all households using water and sewage services that have reported damage and been confirmed by township offices or community welfare centers. Applications can be submitted until September 30 at the township office or community welfare center where the damaged farmland or building is located.
