View original imageNonsan City in South Chungcheong Province has launched efforts to ensure a safe working environment for public job workers in the second half of the year.
The city announced on the 18th that it held a safety and health training session on the 14th at the small theater of the Nonsan Art Center for 120 participants in the second half job project, aiming to prevent industrial accidents and protect workers' health.
The training was led by an expert instructor from the Daejeon-Sejong branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, who explained, using real-life cases, frequent accident examples at industrial sites, prevention methods for job-related diseases, and stress management techniques.
Mayor Baek Seonghyun stated, "Creating jobs where citizens can feel safe is our top priority," and added, "We will continue to build a work environment that puts people first."
He also emphasized, "We will seize the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo, which has been officially approved by the government as an international event, as a new opportunity to boost the local economy and create jobs."
Meanwhile, the city is contributing to the livelihood stability of vulnerable job seekers by selecting 108 people for public work and 12 people for community job projects as part of its second half job initiatives.

Additionally, through the Job Support Center, the city is implementing a range of policies to revitalize local employment, such as tailored job counseling, organizing job matching days, and strengthening connections between companies and local talent.
