The temporary school route at Gwangmyeong Elementary School was established to ensure students' commuting safety after the closure of the previous temporary route, Gwangiro, due to redevelopment construction in the Gwangmyeong 4·5R district. The city renovated a new temporary route spanning approximately 900 meters and deployed 14 safety monitors and 8 members of the traffic volunteer team.
Mayor Park stated, "A safe commuting environment is both a right for children and a responsibility of the city," adding, "We will not stop at temporary measures but will continue to inspect and improve the site directly."
