Systematic Management and Revitalization Roadmap Established
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province has established and finalized the "2030 Yangju Industrial Area Master Plan" to provide a systematic management and revitalization direction for industrial areas outside of designated industrial complexes.
The "2030 Yangju Industrial Area Master Plan" is a statutory plan enacted and implemented in accordance with the "Special Act on the Management and Revitalization of Urban Industrial Areas." It covers 25 industrial areas within the city, excluding industrial complexes, spanning approximately 2.54 square kilometers.
Yangju City began the process in November 2022 with a commissioned study and finalized the plan through a series of procedures, including analysis of the current status and characteristics of industrial areas, holding a public hearing for residents, approval by the Yangju City Council, and review by the Urban Planning Committee.
The plan comprehensively includes the designation of management types for each industrial area, recommended uses for buildings, securing support infrastructure, and environmental management measures. In particular, it classifies the areas into five detailed management types-industrial innovation, industrial redevelopment, industrial management, separate management, and general management-enabling systematic management tailored to the characteristics of each area.

Kang Suhyeon, Mayor of Yangju, stated, "The '2030 Yangju Industrial Area Master Plan' will serve as a foundational resource for designating future industrial area redevelopment zones and formulating detailed action plans.
