More than 10 Donations on Children's Day and Christmas
This family has continued their good deeds more than ten times so far, leaving boxes containing snacks, instant noodles, and other items at the Deokcheon Police Substation on Children's Day and Christmas each year before disappearing.
At 10:28 a.m. on May 3, two days before Children's Day, the man left a cardboard box in front of the Deokcheon Police Substation, just as he did this time. When the police opened the box, they found a handwritten letter, a box of instant noodles, thirty-five 1,000-won bills, and a windbreaker jacket for children.
The "father of three children" explained that the money was "earned by diligently collecting recyclable waste for a month." He said, "I worked hard to save it, but I'm truly sorry that the amount isn't much." He continued, "When I tried to buy snacks with the money from selling recyclable waste, I didn't have enough, so I bought a box of instant noodles and a windbreaker for a child instead. Although not much is left, I hope you can at least enjoy some delicious chicken." He also wrote, "I feel bad that I couldn't buy snacks," but added, "Still, I hope you wear the windbreaker, go outside, run around, and laugh."
At the time, when police checked the substation's CCTV, footage showed a man leaving the box and quickly departing the scene.
