"Gained Confidence That I Can Do Anything Through the Camp"
"Through the Daeroom Career Camp,
students with immigrant backgrounds
gain confidence and concrete plans for the future"
"After meeting with university student mentors, I was able to make concrete plans for how to study and prepare for my future," the student said, adding, "Through this camp, I gained the confidence that I can do anything."
This is the reflection of a student who participated in the "2025 Daeroom Career Camp" for students with immigrant backgrounds, held by the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education from August 12 to 14, over a two-night, three-day schedule for middle and high school students.
The purpose of this camp was to help students discover their potential and proactively design their futures by supporting intensive career exploration and a variety of hands-on experiences, ultimately fostering their growth into capable global talents.
Through a visit to Seoul National University and small-group mentoring sessions with university student mentors, the students explored various university departments and majors, freely asked questions about study methods and career concerns they had always wondered about, and received practical advice.
Additionally, through a career motivation program led by career experts, students identified their interests and aptitudes and took time to concretely plan their futures.
They also experienced the beauty of traditional Hanok houses in a tranquil Hanok village, participated in traditional crafts, and gained a deeper appreciation for the excellence of Korean culture.
