12 Key Projects to Be Implemented in Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongdeok, and Uljin
Hyungsoo Park, Member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party (Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongdeok, Uljin, Gyeongbuk), has secured 5 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the first half of this year, accelerating efforts to strengthen disaster safety and expand living infrastructure in the region.

원본보기 아이콘According to Representative Park on August 13, the newly secured special grants will be allocated to a total of 12 projects.
In Uiseong County, the projects include the construction of a parking lot at the Danmil-myeon Ecological Axis Restoration Park, the expansion and paving of the village road in Sinan 2-ri, Anpyeong-myeon, the installation of a disaster prevention drainage station in Iyeon 2-ri, Danbuk-myeon, and the installation of a disaster prevention drainage pump station in Wondang 2-ri, Uiseong-eup, among other safety and convenience facility projects.
For Cheongsong County, the projects include the expansion of the agricultural product wholesale market facilities in Cheongsong-eup and the maintenance of the embankment along Yongjeoncheon in Daejeon-ri, Bunam-myeon.
In Yeongdeok County, support will go to the construction of a marine connection road in Changpo-ri, Yeongdeok-eup, the installation of a roundabout at Deokgok Intersection, and the maintenance of the coastal area at risk of wave damage in Daebu-ri. In Uljin County, support will be provided for the installation of nighttime landscape lighting and a wooden bridge at Hupo Beach, the creation of a riverside walkway along Samyulcheon, and the purchase of road snow removal equipment.
Representative Park explained that, during the budget allocation process, he continuously requested "special consideration for areas affected by wildfires" from the Minister of the Interior and Safety and relevant working-level departments.
He stated, "With the securing of these special grants, we will be able to further accelerate improvements in disaster safety and residents' living environments. I will do my utmost to ensure that key projects for Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongdeok, and Uljin are included in the special grants for the second half of the year and in next year's government budget proposal as well."
