Pyeongtaek Launches "Dementia Family Care Relief Vacation Program"
Support for Care Facility Fees
Available for Up to 10 Days Per Year
The Dementia Relief Center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province is operating the "Dementia Family Care Relief Vacation Program" to help alleviate the caregiving burden on families of dementia patients.
This program provides support for family members of dementia patients to take a break from caregiving responsibilities by covering the costs of ▲full-day home care visits, ▲short-term care facilities, and ▲provincial geriatric hospitals.
The program offers up to 20,000 KRW per day for full-day home care visits and short-term care facilities, and up to 30,000 KRW per day for provincial geriatric hospitals. Each family can use the service for up to 10 days per year.
Eligible applicants are dementia patients or their families who reside in Gyeonggi Province and are registered with either the Songtan Dementia Relief Center or the Pyeongtaek Dementia Relief Center in Pyeongtaek. Those wishing to use the service should visit the Dementia Relief Center to apply.
