Overcoming Low Birthrate and Promoting a Family-Friendly Culture in One Place
On August 13, Korea Expressway Corporation successfully hosted the 'Family Love Flies' event at its main auditorium in Gimcheon, aiming to address the low birthrate crisis and promote a family-friendly culture.

View original imageThe event brought together over 400 participants, including employees and their families from 12 institutions near Gimcheon, as well as elementary and middle school students and their parents. Participating organizations included Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Power Engineering Company, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, and Yulgok Elementary School, Nongso Elementary School, Ungok Elementary School, Geumneung Elementary School, Bugok Elementary School, Yulgok Middle School, Geumo Elementary School, and Dobong Elementary School.
The program consisted of a promotional video on low birthrate countermeasures, a paper airplane and magic performance, followed by an autograph session and commemorative photo opportunities with the performers.
Lee Seunghoon, a national paper airplane champion and Guinness World Record holder, gave an acrobatic flight demonstration that received enthusiastic applause. In addition, 'Nicky', a popular magician with 790,000 subscribers, captivated the audience for 60 minutes with a mesmerizing magic show.
Korea Expressway Corporation employees also operated a drone experience booth and a traffic safety promotion booth as a talent donation, both of which received a great response. At these booths, visitors could watch traffic safety animations and receive souvenirs, offering a wide range of activities for families.
