Eight Injured at Buk-gu Office Intersection
Four Also Hurt in Gyelim-dong
On August 13, a series of multiple-vehicle collisions occurred in downtown Gwangju.
According to the Bukbu Police Station and other authorities, at around 2:44 p.m. that day, a taxi collided with a passenger car at the intersection in front of Buk-gu Office in Jungheung-dong, Buk-gu, resulting in a three-car pileup. Eight people, including the drivers, were injured and transported to the hospital.
Earlier, at approximately 10:39 a.m. in Gyelim-dong, Dong-gu, a passenger car veered off the sidewalk and, while merging onto the road, struck three vehicles in succession. Four people sustained minor injuries in this accident.
