Kyobo Securities Holds Volunteer Activity to Create Tactile Braille Books for Children with Visual Impairments
Kyobo Securities announced on August 13 that, on the previous day, its employees participated directly in a volunteer activity to create tactile braille books to support the independent activities of children with visual impairments.
This volunteer activity utilized a DIY kit for making tactile braille books, which was produced by recycling discarded PET bottles. Kyobo Securities employees carefully assembled each page of the book and attached tactile materials, completing customized educational resources that enable children with visual impairments to learn about objects and daily activities through touch.
The completed tactile braille books will be delivered to Cheongju School for the Blind, located in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, and are expected to support students' learning and daily independence.
