Jangsu County Recruiting Businesses for 'Hanwoo and Apple Festival' Participation
Applications Accepted Until the 20th
45 Teams to Be Selected
Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting participating businesses for the upcoming 19th Jangsu Hanwoo and Apple Festival, which will be held until August 20.
According to the county on August 13, the Hanwoo and Apple Festival will take place for four days from September 18 to 21 at Uiam Park and Nuri Park in Jangsu.
The county, which promotes itself as Korea's leading red food festival, plans to widely publicize the excellence and popularity of local red foods such as Jangsu Hanwoo beef and apples, as well as tomatoes and omija, through this 19th edition of the festival, which was first held in 2007.
The recruitment scale is a total of 45 teams, including 15 snack booth teams, 15 promotional booth teams, and 10 craft experience booth teams. Local businesses and organizations will be given priority in selection so that local farms and companies can directly participate and showcase the flavors and culture of Jangsu. Afterwards, applicants from outside the county will be selected through a lottery.
The promotional booths are intended for institutions and organizations wishing to promote various policies, with priority given to booths with public interest. Craft experience booths are open to operators of Green Rural Experience Villages, Rural Traditional Theme Villages, and those related to crafts and handicrafts.
Kim Honggi, chairman of the festival organizing committee, said, "This year's festival has prepared a variety of programs, food, and attractions centered on Jangsu's representative red foods such as Hanwoo beef, apples, tomatoes, and omija. In particular, for farmers and organizations interested in 'red foods,' this will be a great opportunity to promote their products and brands, so we hope many will apply for a booth."
