This training camp, organized primarily by the Yeonggwang County Sports Council, includes a total of 30 participants: 5 coaches, 24 athletes, and 1 trainer. The core objectives are to improve technical and tactical skills and to strengthen team cohesion.
The training program incorporates not only physical conditioning and simulated matches, but also psychological preparation, accumulation of match experience, training feedback, and individualized goal setting. These elements are designed to help athletes take a step closer to participating in international competitions and being selected for the national team.
During the training period, on August 10, the reserve team provided a talent-sharing coaching session for local badminton enthusiasts in Yeonggwang County, which was well received by the community.
Meanwhile, on August 12, Yeonggwang County Mayor Jang Seil visited the training site in person to encourage the athletes and expressed his support, hoping that their training in Yeonggwang would lead to excellent results.
Yeonggwang County expects that hosting this training camp will not only generate an estimated 30 million KRW in local economic benefits, but will also serve as a positive opportunity for Yeonggwang Sportium to establish itself as a training base for national-level athletes.
