Siheung City to Hold Liberation Day Commemoration Ceremony at City Hall on the 15th
Kim Gu Photo Exhibition to Be Held from August 13 to 15
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day on August 15 at Neumnae Hall in City Hall.
The event, held under the theme "80 Years of Shining Liberation Together: A Time Connecting Gratitude and the Future," will be attended by Lim Byeongtaek, Mayor of Siheung, Oh Inyeol, Chairman of the Siheung City Council, bereaved families of independence patriots, heads of veterans' organizations, officials from related institutions, and approximately 300 citizens.
At the entrance to the venue, portraits of 16 independence activists created by "Siheung Nabith," a cultural and artistic talent donation group, will be on display. Informational materials briefly introducing each individual's achievements will also be provided to help citizens better understand their contributions.
From August 13 to 15, a photo exhibition of independence activist Kim Gu, organized by the Siheung branch of the Liberation Association, will be held in the City Hall lobby. The exhibition will feature about 20 photographs depicting Kim Gu's activities.
