Gwanak-gu to Host Special AI Lecture with NASA Collaboration Leader Dr. Alhassan Yasin

Gwanak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Junhee) announced on the 12th that it will host a special lecture on "Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Trends and Corporate Application Strategies," inviting Dr. Alhassan Yasin, a senior professor at Johns Hopkins University and a NASA collaboration leader.
This lecture, co-hosted by the Gwanak-gu Chamber of Commerce and the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Korea Information Education Institute, will be held in a workshop format divided into two parts. The district aims to help local businesses and entrepreneurs understand the latest technological trends and innovation strategies in the era of the AI revolution.
Dr. Yasin will present on the topics "Smart Cities: Why Are They Still in Progress?" and "How Can We Build Them Together?" He will introduce cases of AI utilization in corporate settings, global AI trends, and approaches to autonomous systems and complex systems. Drawing on his research experience in advanced fields such as quantum mechanics-based machine learning, he plans to offer insights and inspiration on the future direction of technology.
After the lecture, there will be a Q&A session and networking opportunities. The workshop will take place at 2 p.m. on the 19th of this month in the Grand Auditorium on the 8th floor of Gwanak-gu Office, and is open to IT-based startups, small business owners, young entrepreneurs, and local activists within the district.
