From August 7 to 9, the county took part in "Vietfood & Beverage by Propack 2025," Asia's largest exhibition specializing in food and beverages, held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Hampyeong County signed export contracts totaling 1.5 million dollars together with Hand&Hand Company and JM Group Co. Ltd., both Korean food distribution companies with established distribution networks in Vietnam.
At the exhibition, the county also promoted the excellence of its local agricultural specialty products, including Shine Muscat grapes, ABC juice, red balloon flower concentrate, and Misutgaru. Shine Muscat grapes received an enthusiastic response as their sweetness, size, and freshness matched the demand in Vietnam's premium fruit market. Red balloon flower concentrate also attracted attention, as it aligned with the health-conscious market trend, leading to on-site consultations and export negotiations.
This contract marks the first step for Hampyeong agricultural products to enter the Vietnamese premium market in earnest. It is expected to help establish a stable local distribution base and raise the brand awareness of Hampyeong County’s specialty agricultural products.
Starting in the second half of this year, the county plans to supply Hampyeong’s agricultural specialty products, including Shine Muscat grapes, to the Vietnamese market through Hyunnong Fresh Co., Ltd. Building on this export achievement, Hampyeong County will continue to participate in international food expos and promotional events at Jeonnam’s overseas permanent sales outlets, accelerating efforts to secure international distribution networks and further expand into Southeast Asian markets.
