View original imageOn August 11, Gwangju Bank announced that it will offer a limited sale of 10,000 accounts for the "WaHamkke Savings" product in partnership with SK Stoa until October. Customers can receive coupons worth up to 120,000 KRW simply by opening a savings account for six months.
The main appeal of this product is that it provides not only interest but also practical benefits that can be used in daily life. By depositing at least 50,000 KRW each month, customers receive 2,000 KRW in SK Stoa reward points and an 8,000 KRW discount coupon every month. At maturity, they will receive an additional coupon pack worth 60,000 KRW, bringing the total benefits to 120,000 KRW. This goes beyond simple interest rate benefits by offering reward points and coupons that can be used for monthly shopping, thereby increasing the actual perceived return.
The "SK Stoa WaHamkke Savings" is a six-month fixed-term savings product available to individual customers aged 14 or older, with one account per person. The maximum monthly deposit is 500,000 KRW, and customers can easily open an account through non-face-to-face channels such as Gwangju WaBank and mobile web banking, without visiting a branch.
The base interest rate is 2.60% per annum for fixed installment savings (2.40% per annum for free installment savings), and if preferential conditions are met, the rate can go up to 3.00% per annum (2.80% per annum for free installment savings).
The preferential interest rate conditions are as follows: 0.20 percentage points per annum for consenting to marketing communications, and 0.20 percentage points per annum for customers who have not opened or held any deposit or savings accounts with the bank in the past three months, for a maximum preferential rate of 0.40 percentage points per annum.
Customers can easily sign up for the product through Gwangju WaBank and mobile web banking without visiting a branch. For more detailed information about the product, customers can visit a nearby branch, check the Gwangju Bank website, or contact the customer center.
