Yangju City Hoeamsaji Museum to Host 'Museum Saturday Market' Nighttime Flea Market on August 30
The Hoeamsaji Museum of Yangju City will host the 'Museum Saturday Market' nighttime flea market on August 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
The 'Museum Saturday Market' is a citizen-participation flea market that has been held regularly since 2017. Its operating hours vary by season, and it serves as an opportunity to share the diverse charms of Hoeamsaji and the museum with the public.
This flea market will feature two zones: the 'Mothers' Museum Sewing Club' zone, operated by the museum, and the 'Family Flea Market' zone, where citizens can participate. Both zones will offer a variety of attractions and hands-on experiences.
In particular, the citizen-participation secondhand flea market will accept up to 30 teams on a first-come, first-served basis, and participation is available by phone registration.
Additionally, on the lawn plaza in front of Hoeamsaji, the Saengsaeng National Heritage 'Hyuga' program, supported by the National Heritage Administration, will take place, offering special experiences at the historic site such as hands-on activities, performances, and lectures.
A city official stated, "We hope that families will enjoy the Museum Saturday Market and the Saengsaeng National Heritage program together on a weekend evening, making unforgettable memories with the beautiful nightscape of Hoeamsaji and a variety of cultural experiences to beat the summer heat."
