The breakdown by payment method is as follows: credit and debit cards account for 46.2%, mobile and card-type local gift certificates for 9.9%, paper-type local gift certificates for 31.3%, and prepaid cards for 12.6%. In particular, the proportion of paper-type gift certificates is higher than the national average due to strong demand from local residents.
The top six cities and counties with the highest distribution rates are Boseong (98.0%), Haenam (97.5%), Gangjin (97.3%), Gurye (96.9%), Goheung (96.3%), and Suncheon (96.1%).
Jeonnam Province plans to encourage early use of these livelihood recovery consumption coupons to invigorate the local economy.
To boost coupon usage rates, the province will implement various initiatives to encourage spending, including broadcast advertising, a campaign to dine at restaurants outside of workplace cafeterias, and street campaigns in collaboration with consumer organizations.
