View original imageThis campaign was a disaster and safety management promotional activity designed to inform citizens about the prevention of heat-related illnesses and heatwave response guidelines, as well as to encourage practical action. Yangju City and the local Community Disaster Prevention Corps jointly participated, carrying out an on-site, focused campaign.
The campaign took place in the area around Yangju Station and included the distribution of leaflets outlining heatwave response guidelines, provision of promotional items such as wet wipes, guidance on the locations of cooling shelters and shaded areas, and instructions on protection measures for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly. In particular, the campaign focused on promoting easily actionable heat illness prevention guidelines that citizens can practice in their daily lives.
Yangsu Hyun, mayor of Yangju City, stated, "The ongoing heatwave can pose a significant risk, especially to vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and outdoor workers. We will make every effort to ensure that more citizens can spend the summer safely by strengthening our heatwave response."
