According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5:00 a.m. on this day, the temperatures in major cities were as follows: Seoul 25.6 degrees Celsius, Incheon 25.3 degrees, Suwon 24.7 degrees, Chuncheon 22.6 degrees, Gangneung 26.4 degrees, Cheongju 25.0 degrees, Daejeon 24.9 degrees, Sejong 23.4 degrees, Jeonju 25.8 degrees, Gwangju 26.6 degrees, Jeju 28.9 degrees, Daegu 23.9 degrees, Busan 27.8 degrees, Ulsan 24.8 degrees, and Changwon 26.7 degrees.

The highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 28 and 34 degrees Celsius. The maximum perceived temperature will rise to 31 degrees or higher, resulting in very hot conditions, and some areas are expected to continue experiencing tropical nights.

Although some regions will see rain, the heat will not subside. Rain is expected in Jeonnam, southern inland Jeonbuk, and Gyeongnam until the morning; in southern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, and inland Chungcheong until the morning; and in mountain areas and the east coast of Gangwon, as well as in northeastern mountain areas and the northern east coast of Gyeongbuk, from morning until evening. Some parts of Gyeongbuk may also see drizzle until the morning. In Jeju, rain is expected to continue through August 8.

The expected precipitation is as follows: Jeju 20 to 60 mm (with some areas exceeding 80 mm), northeastern mountain areas and northern east coast of Gyeongbuk 5 to 30 mm, mountain areas of Gangwon 5 to 20 mm, southern Gyeonggi, east coast and inland areas of Gangwon, Jeolla region, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam around 5 mm, and less than 5 mm in the Chungcheong region.

Fine dust concentrations will remain at a 'good' level across all regions due to smooth atmospheric diffusion.

Wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea. In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights will be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
