On August 6, the Sejong City Council's 'National Assembly Era Sejong Talent Participation Research Group' (led by An Sinil) held its third meeting, received an interim report on the ongoing research conducted by the Daejeon Sejong Research Institute, and reviewed the analysis of job creation and measures to expand local talent in connection with the construction of the National Assembly Sejong Building.
Members of the research group and researchers from the Daejeon Sejong Research Institute attended the meeting, where Kim Heungju, the lead researcher, presented the research results achieved so far.
The research team shared the following: an analysis of internal and external conditions in Sejong City and the current status of local talent recruitment; key issues in local talent recruitment; an analysis of job creation and measures to expand local talent related to the construction of the National Assembly Sejong Building; and policies to expand local talent recruitment in Sejong City.
The participants agreed on the need to improve the local talent recruitment system in public institutions and emphasized the importance of establishing effective response strategies.
In particular, they shared the view that the construction of the National Assembly Sejong Building is more than just a relocation of facilities; it represents a turning point capable of fundamentally transforming the region's employment and talent development system.
