Gwangju City Secures 5.3 Billion KRW in Gyeonggi Special Grants... To Implement 14 Citizen-Focused Projects
Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on August 6, 2025, that it has secured a total of 5.3 billion KRW in the first round of special adjustment grants from Gyeonggi Province this year.
The special adjustment grants secured this time will be used for 14 major projects aimed at improving the convenience of citizens' daily lives and promoting regional development. Each project focuses on enhancing infrastructure closely related to everyday life, such as roads, parks, and rivers.
The major projects include: 500 million KRW for the Neoreungol Natural Recreation Forest development project; 400 million KRW for the Jeongji Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District maintenance; 900 million KRW for the construction of entrance and exit ramps on the Seongnam~Janghowon expressway; 500 million KRW for the installation of soundproof walls on National Road No. 3 (Yangbeol 1 District); 200 million KRW for the repair and reinforcement of the road slope on National Road No. 45 (Maesan-dong); 300 million KRW for the creation of the Taejaegogae Premium Street; 700 million KRW for the improvement of lighting along the riverside walking trail; 200 million KRW for the repaving of the Gonjiamcheon walking trail; 200 million KRW for the construction of a multipurpose field at Manseon Sports Park; 400 million KRW for the expansion and paving of the road in front of the administrative welfare center in Neungpyeong-dong; 200 million KRW for the repaving project of Seondong-ri (Small Road 2-601) in Chowol-eup; 200 million KRW for the maintenance of streetlights from Taejaegogae to Neungpyeong Intersection; 400 million KRW for the repaving project of City Road No. 13 (Yangbeol-dong); and 200 million KRW for the installation of streetlights on National Road No. 43 (Gosan-dong~Munhyeong-dong).
