BTS Denies Participation in Michael Jackson Tribute Album
BigHit: "We Have Never Been to Grouse Lodge Studio"
The agency BigHit Music has stated that reports from some foreign media outlets and online rumors claiming that BTS participated in a Michael Jackson tribute album are not true.
On August 5, the agency posted on its official social media accounts, "BTS has never visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland, nor have they recorded at that location," and clarified, "The reports that BTS participated in a Michael Jackson tribute album are also not true." The agency added, "We are taking action to prevent the spread of inaccurate information."
Recently, some Michael Jackson-related communities and social media platforms have claimed that BTS participated in a tribute album project composed of unreleased Michael Jackson songs and completed their recordings.
The rumors spread rapidly, especially after 'The Irish Sun,' the Irish edition of the British tabloid 'The Sun,' published an interview with Paddy Dunning, the head of Grouse Lodge Studio. Dunning claimed that BTS recorded at the studio, that the project began last year, and that at least 10 songs have been completed.
Afterward, keywords such as 'Michael Jackson×BTS' trended in real time on X (formerly Twitter), drawing attention from fans worldwide. However, BTS has officially denied these claims.
