Samsung Display Launches Foldable OLED Brand 'Mont Flex'

Samsung Display is launching its foldable brand, Mont Flex (MONT FLEX™). By establishing its unique foldable organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology as a brand, the company aims to further differentiate its technological leadership.
On August 5, Samsung Display announced that it will officially launch the new Mont Flex brand and present its vision at the 'K-Display 2025 Korea Display Industry Exhibition,' which will be held from August 7 to 9 at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

View original imageMont Flex is a compound word combining 'Mont,' which means mountain in French, and 'Flexible,' symbolizing Samsung Display's commitment to achieving the pinnacle of technological innovation. A Samsung Display representative explained, "It embodies specific technological goals aimed at creating the perfect foldable." Specifically, the 'M' in Mont stands for Mechanically Durable (superior folding durability), the 'O' for Opto-mechanically Flat (a crease-free, vivid display), the 'N' for Narrow Bezel Enabling (slim bezels), and the 'T' for Thin and Light (a thin and lightweight design).
This year marks the seventh year of mass production for Samsung Display's foldable OLEDs. With unparalleled durability and design, they are recognized as premium products within the industry. Samsung Display was the first in the industry to apply ultra-thin glass (UTG) that can be folded and the no-polarizer liquid injection process (OCF) technology called LEAD™ to foldable displays.
