Baemin to Significantly Expand Homeplus Delivery Stores
Delivery Within One Hour at 41 Locations Nationwide
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on August 5 that it will gradually expand the number of Homeplus hypermarket stores offering Baemin Delivery Service for Baemin Mart and Shopping from the current 6 locations to 41.
Since April, Baemin has launched its delivery service at four Homeplus stores: Gangdong, Sindorim, Sangbong, and Dongnae. As of August 5, Baemin Delivery Service is available at 34 stores nationwide, including Hapjeong, World Cup, Ulsan, and Daegu Suseong branches. The company plans to add three more locations on August 19 and four additional locations on August 26.
Previously, Homeplus stores processed orders through scheduled deliveries using four-wheeled vehicles. However, as the number of customers seeking faster delivery increased, Baemin began providing quick commerce services using its own delivery system. Since the service launched in April, more than 10,000 customers have used it, and the number of monthly users continues to grow.
Currently, Baemin Mart and Shopping services feature brands such as Emart, Homeplus Express, Emart Everyday, GS The Fresh, and CU, in addition to Homeplus. Products from all distribution channels?including hypermarkets, super supermarkets, and convenience stores?can be delivered within one hour.
Choi Jinseok, Head of Baemin Store Business at Woowa Brothers, stated, "To meet the grocery shopping needs of Baemin customers, we are expanding our quick commerce service through collaboration with various hypermarkets and SSMs. We will continue to diversify options for grocery and shopping customers and strengthen our competitiveness in products such as fresh foods."
