Free Shuttle Buses to Connect Hangang Bus Terminals and Subway Stations
Trial Operation Continues at Jamsil and Magok During Test Runs
Apgujeong to Be Added When Official Service Begins in September
In anticipation of the official launch of the Hangang Bus service next month, a 'free shuttle bus' will operate between major subway stations and the ferry terminals.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 4th that, starting this month, shuttle buses will circulate from nearby subway stations such as Magok and Jamsil to stops close to the Hangang Bus terminals.
Initially, the shuttle buses will run on a trial basis according to the days and times of the ongoing Hangang Bus citizen trial rides. Once official operations begin, the shuttles will run during weekday commuting hours. Starting from the 12th, shuttle buses will operate for leisure and tourism trial groups and after-work trial groups using the Jamsil terminal, and for morning commuters using the Magok terminal.
Two shuttle buses serving the Magok terminal will depart from the Gayang Underpass, which is a three-minute walk from the terminal, and turn around near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station on Line 9 and Balsan Station on Line 5. When official operations commence, the buses will run along a direct route at 15-minute intervals.
For the Jamsil terminal, the shuttle bus will depart from the Jamsilsaenae Underpass, a five-minute walk from the terminal, pass through Jamsilsaenae Station on Line 2 and Sports Complex Station on Lines 2 and 9, and circulate around the Jamsil Els Apartment complex. The interval between buses will be 15 minutes.
From September, when the Hangang Bus begins official service, shuttle buses will also operate at the Apgujeong terminal. These will run between the Sinsa Underpass and Apgujeong Station on Line 3, with a 30-minute interval between buses.
