Eunpyeong District to Provide Sports Vouchers for Basic Pension Recipients Aged 65 and Over
Eunpyeong District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mikyung) will provide 'Senior Sports Vouchers' to promote the health of elderly residents and to encourage the use of local sports facilities.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's health and welfare program, and provides a 50,000 won Zero Pay voucher per person on a one-time basis. The voucher can be used at over 570 Zero Pay-affiliated sports facilities in Eunpyeong District, including swimming pools, table tennis halls, and fitness centers.
The program is available to recipients of the basic pension aged 65 and older who reside in Eunpyeong District. Applications can be submitted from August 4 to August 13 by searching for 'Senior Sports Voucher' on the portal or visiting the dedicated website (ssvoucher.co.kr). The distributed vouchers can be used starting in September, and the usage period ends on October 31. The district plans to actively promote the program through senior citizen centers, senior clubs, and both online and offline channels.
