Renault Group Appoints Francois Provost as New Chairman and CEO

On July 31, 2025, the Renault Group Board of Directors appointed Francois Provost as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renault Group.
Renault Group selected Francois Provost, the current Chief Purchasing, Partnerships, and Public Affairs Officer of Renault Group, as the new Chairman and CEO after a selection process that considered various internal and external candidates. The newly appointed Chairman, Provost, is recognized for his deep understanding and extensive insight into the entire automotive industry value chain, including products, customers, and the industry's current challenges.
As Chief Purchasing, Partnerships, and Public Affairs Officer, Provost successfully established key global partnerships for Renault Group. He is expected to lead the group's continued growth through global market partnerships and uphold the company's core values.
Since joining Renault Group, Provost has held various positions for 23 years, including branch manager and regional head in France, as well as executive roles at Renault-Nissan Portugal. He has successfully demonstrated leadership across various business sectors in major markets both in France and abroad. From 2011, he served as President of Renault Samsung Motors for over five years, contributing to increased exports and improved performance.
