The main inspection items are illegal acts that harm the city's appearance and safety, including unauthorized extensions, unauthorized changes of use, and unauthorized construction of temporary buildings.
The city plans to continue crackdowns on illegal buildings through the end of the year. For buildings found to be in violation, the city will strictly respond by imposing enforcement charges and fines, and by filing criminal complaints.
To enhance the effectiveness of the plan, the city will also establish an "Integrated Illegal Building Management System" within the year and begin fully utilizing it in official operations starting next year. This system will digitalize the management status of illegal buildings and automate administrative processes, thereby improving the efficiency of crackdowns.
As of the first quarter, the city is managing the correction status of a cumulative total of 3,957 illegal buildings. The amount of enforcement charges imposed as of the first quarter is 492 million won. This is the highest performance among local governments in Gyeonggi Province.
