Kim Dongyeon to Visit Flood-Hit Gapyeong for the Third Time This Month on July 31
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon is scheduled to visit Gapyeong, the area in Gyeonggi Province most severely affected by the recent heavy rain, once again on July 31. This will be his third visit since his first on-site inspection on July 20.
According to Gyeonggi Province officials, Governor Kim will visit the flood-affected area in Gapyeong County at 9:30 a.m. on July 31 to review the status of support for disaster victims and to examine measures in response to the recent heatwave.
On July 20, Governor Kim visited Daebo Bridge in Sang-myeon, Gapyeong County to inspect the damage caused by heavy rain. He expressed his concern, saying, "Seeing the situation on site is truly heartbreaking," and urged, "Please do your utmost until everything is restored."

Two days later, on July 22, he visited the affected areas in Gapyeong County again to assess the damage and instructed that daily recovery support funds be provided to small business owners in the region. The following day, Gyeonggi Province announced that it would provide up to 10 million won in livelihood recovery support funds to residents in the flood-affected areas.
On July 24, Governor Kim spoke by phone with the heads of Gapyeong and Pocheon counties and promised, "We will spare no effort in supporting the recovery and restoration from the flood damage."
