Aims to Create a Healing Space for All Generations
Dongjak District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Ilha) has established and is operating the first-ever foot bath facility among Seoul's autonomous districts in the Sumbadang area of Dorimcheon, Sindaebang-dong.
Residents are enjoying foot baths at the foot bath area around Dorimcheon Sumadang. Provided by Dongjak District.

It operates annually from May to October, with hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the peak summer season, operating hours are extended until 10:00 p.m. To maintain water quality, the tap water is replaced daily.
Additionally, the facility features four types of exercise equipment, including air walkers and cycles, as well as four types of children's play equipment, such as seesaws and rocking horses. There is also a pavilion measuring 5.5 meters by 3.5 meters. These amenities are expected to create a comprehensive healing space that can be enjoyed by all generations.
Dongjak District plans to further expand the area into an outdoor cultural space by installing a wall fountain, landscape lighting, and a waterfront stage near the foot bath. The district also aims to supplement the insufficient park functions in Sindaebang-dong through the "Dorimcheon Park Project."
The opening ceremony was held on the 25th, with District Mayor Park Ilha, city and district council members, and approximately 100 local residents in attendance. The "Dongjak Ready Action Team" drew attention by conducting a plogging campaign in the Dorimcheon area.
