Pyeongtaek City to Survey Operations of 494 Unmanned Food Retail Stores
Targeting Meal Kit Shops, Cafes, and More
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct an operational status survey next month on 494 unmanned food retail stores to create a safer food purchasing environment.
This survey will target instant food manufacturing and processing businesses, as well as food vending machine businesses, which have reported operating unmanned stores such as meal kit shops and cafes. The main focus of the survey will be to check whether the stores are actually being operated in an unmanned format and whether other business compliance requirements are being met.
Separately, the city is conducting regular monthly inspections on 66 unmanned stores located within children's food safety protection zones.
