Na Hongjin's New Film "Hope" to Be Released Next Summer
Hwang Jungmin, Jo Insung, Fassbender and More Join the Cast
Distributor Plus M Entertainment announced on the 30th that director Na Hongjin's new film "Hope" will be released next summer.
This film depicts the events that unfold when an unknown entity appears in a port village located in the Demilitarized Zone. As it is director Na's first work in 10 years since "The Wailing" (2016), it has drawn much anticipation even before filming began.
Actor Hwang Jungmin, who delivered a powerful performance in "The Wailing," reunites with director Na as Beomseok, the head of the village branch office. Jo Insung and Jung Hoyeon also star, playing a young man from the village and a police officer, respectively.
Hollywood actor Michael Fassbender, known for the "X-Men" series and "Alien: Covenant" (2017), and Alicia Vikander, who starred in "The Danish Girl" (2016) and "Tomb Raider" (2018), portray mysterious life forms.
