Sejong Technopark Recognized as Excellent Institution in Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center Performance Evaluation
Securing a Leading Position as a Smart Factory Pioneer
According to the performance evaluation of the 2024 Regional Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centers (Technoparks), which operate the Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project, Sejong Technopark (hereinafter referred to as Sejong TP) received an A grade (Excellent).
The Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project aims to strengthen the smart capabilities of manufacturing companies in the region. It is managed by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team under the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, which is affiliated with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and is operated by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centers within Technoparks nationwide.
According to officials, Sejong TP's excellent performance grade was recognized based on its outstanding project management and achievements in promoting smart manufacturing innovation in the local manufacturing industry.
Despite having a smaller budget compared to other regions, Sejong TP was acknowledged for its contribution to enhancing the smart capabilities of local manufacturing companies while competing with 19 Technoparks nationwide.
Previously, Sejong TP received an A grade for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2022. Although it received a B grade in the 2023 evaluation, it regained the A grade in the 2024 performance evaluation.
