On July 29, the day before Jungbok, Everland, the resort division of Samsung C&T, announced that it provided ice cakes made of vitamins, fruit, and meat to tigers in celebration of World Tiger Day. The zoo also carried out yellow soil mud bath enrichment activities, which help with body temperature regulation and psychological stability for the tigers.

World Tiger Day was designated in 2010 when 13 countries where tigers inhabit gathered for a 'Tiger Summit' and agreed to work together to conserve wild tigers, which are gradually disappearing due to poaching and habitat destruction.
