Ilsandong-gu in Goyang Completes Safety Inspections of 121 Multi-Family Housing Complexes Ahead of Rainy Season
Safety of Drainage and Flood Prevention Facilities Verified
Ilsandong-gu in Goyang Special City announced on July 29 that it had conducted safety inspections of multi-family housing complexes from June 16 to July 25 to prevent flooding and safety accidents caused by heavy rainfall during the monsoon season.

In response to the increasing frequency of localized heavy rain due to climate change and recent cases of underground parking lot flooding, the inspections focused on the safety of drainage facilities, underground flood prevention systems, and auxiliary facilities such as walls and retaining walls.
No significant structural damage or risk of collapse was found as a result of the inspections. For any items that were missed during the inspections, the management entities were requested to re-check and take supplementary measures.
