Yeoncheon-gun Recruits Seniors Aged 65 and Older Living Alone for AI Companion Robot Program
On July 29, the Yeoncheon-gun Public Health Medical Center in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is recruiting participants aged 65 and older who live alone to take part in the "AI Companion Robot" program, which is part of the 2025 AI·IoT Senior Health Management Project.
This project aims to encourage healthy lifestyle habits and contribute to health management and the prevention of solitary deaths among seniors by providing AI companion robots equipped with personalized notifications and conversational features to health-vulnerable elderly individuals living alone.
Eligible participants are seniors aged 65 and older who live alone and require frailty or chronic disease management. Selection will be made through telephone applications and a preliminary health survey. Those selected will receive a home visit for robot installation and guidance on how to use the device.
