BNK Kyongnam Bank Signs Joint Business Support Agreement for Local SME Development

Joint Overseas Marketing for Gyeongnam Defense Companies in the Middle East Market,
and Eight Joint Projects to Be Implemented
BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on July 29 that it has signed a "2025 Joint Business Support Agreement for the Development of Local Small and Medium Enterprises" with the Gyeongnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups.

View original imageThis joint business support agreement is being promoted as a measure for both organizations to vitalize the local economy and realize regional and customer value by fostering promising local startups and small and medium enterprises.
According to the agreement, eight joint projects will be carried out: △ Awards for Outstanding Gyeongnam SMEs △ Promotion support for local SMEs in Gyeongnam △ Joint overseas marketing for Gyeongnam defense companies in the Middle East market △ Collaborative acceleration support projects with local startup support organizations △ Support projects to strengthen technological innovation capabilities of Gyeongnam SMEs △ Activation of the Gyeongnam Export Club network △ Support projects for resolving technical challenges of innovative venture companies △ Support for the Lycon DoDream growth process.
In particular, the △ Awards for Outstanding Gyeongnam SMEs project aims to inspire management and work motivation by discovering and rewarding SMEs and outstanding long-term employees who have contributed to regional economic development and achieved management and technological innovation.
Additionally, the △ Collaborative acceleration support project with local startup support organizations is operated to vitalize local startups by cooperating with related organizations to discover outstanding startups and support the strengthening of their investment attraction capabilities.
Lee Kwangjun, Executive Director of the Corporate Customer Group, stated, "We have decided to carry out eight joint projects in partnership with the Gyeongnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups to help local SMEs, which are the strong foundation of the local economy, continue to grow. We also hope this will be a new leap forward for startups. BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to do its best as a reliable partner to support local SMEs and startups and to revitalize the regional economy."
Meanwhile, BNK Kyongnam Bank is operating its own startup support program, the 'CHAIN-G Program,' which provides systematic support throughout all stages before startup to help startups grow stronger.
The second cohort of companies selected for this year's CHAIN-G Program has been receiving various support programs?including mentoring, IR consulting, and investment linkage?since the orientation, which included a meeting with the bank president in April, and will continue to receive support until November.
