Chungnam Provincial PR Office Supports Recovery at Yesan Cherry Farm... "Sharing Residents' Pain"
Over 40 Employees Dispatched to Flood-Damaged Sites
Diligently Clearing Flooded Greenhouses and Removing Soil and Debris
On July 29, the Public Relations Office of Chungnam Province visited a cherry farm in Ogamyeon, Yesan-gun, which suffered significant damage due to recent heavy rainfall, to participate in recovery efforts.
On site, about 40 people, including staff from the Public Relations Office and the Investment and Trade Policy Office, joined the efforts. They helped organize the inside of greenhouses after the water had receded and dismantled damaged facilities.
In particular, they worked hard to remove soil and debris piled up around the area and clean up various types of waste, supporting the affected farm's swift return to normal life.
Song Byunghoon, the Provincial Public Relations Officer, stated, "We came to the recovery site to share the pain of residents affected by the recent torrential rain. Although our contribution may be small, we hope it helps the affected farms. We will continue to stand with the residents in the future."
Meanwhile, as of 6:00 p.m. on July 27, the provisional total damage in Chungnam Province from the recent heavy rainfall was estimated at 363.7 billion won.
More than 43,000 people, including volunteers and public officials, participated in the recovery work. Out of 7,470 cases, 6,145 cases (82.3%) of emergency restoration have been completed.
It is expected that all emergency restoration will be completed as early as this week, or by next week at the latest.
