Establishment of "A City for Citizens, Management for People"
Uijeongbu Urban Corporation in Gyeonggi Province (President Kim Yongseok) announced on July 28 that it has established a new vision for human rights management, "A City for Citizens, Management for People," presenting a future direction for human rights management and taking the lead in responsible management as a public institution.

A total of 22 proposals were submitted through the open call. These candidates were evaluated based on how well they reflected the corporation's human rights values, with a joint review conducted by team leaders and an external human rights working group (Yangju, Pocheon, Yeoncheon). The final candidates were then narrowed down through further evaluation by the headquarters director, department heads, and external experts, and the president made the final decision on the vision.
Notably, during the evaluation process, the selection of candidates incorporated the opinions of each judge based on a preference survey. The entire process was especially meaningful as it reflected the values of communication and collaboration.
Additionally, after being reported to the Human Rights Management Committee, the newly established vision will be actively shared with employees through internal channels such as community postings, official notifications, and team-based training. Externally, the corporation plans to increase public awareness and empathy by posting the vision on its website and promoting it through the media and to other organizations.
